Dr. Ioannis Katsidimas holds a master in Computer Science and Technology and got his PhD entitled “IoT systems and wireless power transfer protocols in ad-hoc communication networks” at the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of Patras University, Greece in 2020. Also, he has served as a Researcher at the Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus”, Greece. His research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, Energy Management, Algorithmic Design and TinyML. He has participated in several EU (IoT Lab, PrivacyFlag, SAFE STRIP, zPasteurAIzer, SynAir-G), national Projects (IoTLab Extension, P.A.T., ISuMare4PV, Observatory) and direct contracts (VDB-Pfizer), both in technical and management roles, and has received scholarship from H.F.R.I. for his research on IoT Systems and Wireless Power Transfer Protocols for ad-hoc Communication Networks. Finally, he has received a Best Paper Award in ICDCN 2017 for his research paper “Efficient Algorithms for Power Maximization in the Vector Model for Wireless Energy Transfer” and has graduated first of his class in 2/2014 from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of Patras University.
